The Lutheran Sleep Disorders Center is fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep
Having a sleep study is not much more complicated than falling asleep. Our sleep rooms are quiet, comfortable rooms, free of distractions to promote sleep. Typically, we have patients come in the evening,
You can bring your own pajamas and slippers and relax while we prepare you for your sleep study.
Although you'll be quite comfortable (according to most of our patients) you will be connected to monitoring equipment, consisting of a few small wires attached on your head, face, chest and legs.
Our staff of certified respiratory therapists and board-registered sleep technicians (polysomnographic technologists) will record and monitor your brain activity, breathing, heart rate and muscle activity.
All this information is fed into our special "Sandman" computer where it is recorded and summary reports can be generated for physicians to review.
We'll wake you after eight hours and a few complete cycles have been recorded.
