The Lutheran Lung Center supports people who are compromised by a pulmonary disease or disorder. Whether a child with asthma or an adult with emphysema, the Lung Center is a community resource offering on-site pulmonary education programs and community-based health care education programs. We also provide services to those in the hospital requiring pulmonary care.
The Lung Center is positioned to act as a liaison between physicians, families and health care providers. Our team includes physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, case managers, dietitians and social workers. This team utilizes the latest advancements in pulmonary disease management in association with dynamic pulmonary assessment to assist people with all types of pulmonary diseases or disorders.
The Lutheran Lung Center is involved with and directs many types of programs. These programs include cancer research, pulmonary assessments, rehabilitation and education, respiratory care services and asthma management.
The Lutheran Lung Center is also heavily involved in the Lutheran Children's Hospital Pediatric Pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis Clinics. Under the direction of a board-certified pediatric pulmonologist, this clinic address the unique needs of children, both physically and emotionally. Clinics (accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and affiliated with Riley Hospital for Children) are held each Tuesday.
Breathing is something that most of us take for granted. But for people who suffer from pulmonary disorders, simply breathing can be exhausting. The Lutheran Lung Center is dedicated to improving the quality of life for anyone with a pulmonary disorder or disease.
