LCH holiday 2014 thank you

Throughout the year, staff and physicians at Lutheran Children’s Hospital tend to worry just a little that we haven’t done enough to acknowledge all those who so generously show support for our patients and their families.  This is especially true during the holidays when individuals and organizations from all around the region go above and beyond to help us make a child’s time away from home a little warmer and a little less scary.  From donated toys to visits from four-legged friends and everything in between, the kindness we see is very touching.

The specialists who oversee our child life program work to normalize the hospital experience for families whose lives are sometimes uprooted while their child is with us for an extended period of time.  Those who continue to volunteer time – a year-round need – talent and resources to bring a smile to a child’s face play a meaningful role in the continuum of care.  We thank you all!

Sincerely,

Krista Peak, MBA, executive director, Lutheran Children’s Hospital
