Lutheran Hospital Receives Consumer Choice Award
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Monday, Oct. 22, 2012) – National Research Corporation has publicly recognized Lutheran Hospital as a 2012-2013 Consumer Choice Award winner. The award identifies hospitals that healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in more than 300 markets throughout the U.S. This is the fourth time in five years that Lutheran Hospital has received this award.
“This recognition reaffirms that the skillful and compassionate care our team members provide makes a difference for our patients,” said Brian Bauer, chief executive officer, Lutheran Hospital. “Our associates and physicians should be commended for keeping patient care their daily priority. Lutheran’s focus on always putting patients first is demonstrated clearly in our results.”
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Market Insights/Ticker survey. This study surveys more than 250,000 households representing more than 450,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. From the households surveyed, 3,200 hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on their Core Based Statistical Areas as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with the winning facilities being ranked the highest. All 2012-2013 Consumer Choice Award Winners are listed in this week’s issue of Modern Healthcare.
