Cardiac Rehabilitation
Think of us as a survivors fitness club with personal trainers, plenty of exercise equipment, lots of progress charts and doctors. After surviving a cardiac event (heart attack, surgery, etc), you have a second chance at life and we're here to guide you.
Caring for yourself after a cardiac event can bring about many changes. You may be limited in some areas, or you may have an identified risk for more heart trouble. Our team of therapists, nurses and clinicians, working with your physician, will develop a wellness program just for you.
Your program will definitely include some exercise, even if you have limited mobility. The health benefits of exercise are well documented, even among people who have never had a regular exercise routine.
Modifying your diet may also be part of our care. The phrase "you are what you eat" is true. We'll help learn how to make healthy food choices, and also make sure you enjoy the foods with fun, tasty recipes.
Cardiac events are life-changing, physically and emotionally. We'll help you embrace the "second chance" you've received.
