Loving support makes breastfeeding work.
Deciding whether or not to breastfeed is one of the most important decisions new parents can make. The Childbirth Suites at Lutheran Hospital, a long-time community leader in childbirth choices and support, highly recommends breastfeeding because statistics show that breast milk is the optimal nutrition for infants.

Our goal is to assist patients who choose to breastfeed to make the experience enjoyable for everyone involved—mother, baby and family.

Our lactation staff, which is available at various times of the day to help you, consists of internationally, board-certified lactation consultants and lactation specialists who are registered nurses with advanced training in breastfeeding.

Continued Breastfeeding Support

Our mothers' meetings, at which siblings are welcome, are held each Tuesday from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the Lutheran Hospital Special Functions Rooms 1 and 2, on the lower level. Call us for additional details. Meetings include:
