The Lutheran Cancer Center cares for residents from all across the region. First accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons as a comprehensive community cancer program in May 2007, Lutheran's cancer program has maintained its accreditation and the CoC Outstanding Achievement Award designation since its first review. Receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award was a rare achievement for a program's inaugural survey.
The Lutheran Cancer Center provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services in a compassionate yet high-tech environment.The center's board-certified physician specialists and experienced and caring staff provide cancer care in the areas of radiation and medical oncology, surgery, pathology, radiology, social services, support services and rehabilitation. In addition, the center's physicians participate in clinical research.
The Lutheran Cancer Center is located at 7910 W. Jefferson Blvd. on the Lutheran Hospital campus.
The building, owned by the physicians of Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology, houses, under one roof, many of the services provided at the Lutheran Cancer Center. Other services provided in the facility include those offered by FWMOH, Lutheran Medical Group Surgical Specialists, Lutheran Children's Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Lutheran Adult Chemotherapy Outpatient Clinic and The Convalescent Shop. Radiation Oncology Associates is located across the lobby from the Lutheran Cancer Resource Center.
