Critical Care Transport

The Critical Care Transport team at Lutheran Hospital serves in support of hospitals and first responders throughout the region. The CCT team benefits 24/7 from a fleet that includes two air medical helicopters and seven ground units all equipped with the most advanced tools in the industry.

Lutheran Air and Lutheran Ground are available to transport critically ill and injured patients around the clock, 365 days a year. The CCT team is proficient in multiple specialties. Team members include critical care paramedics, critical care nurses, EMTs, respiratory therapists and physicians from Lutheran’s neonatal intensive care unit.

When seeking the expertise of Lutheran Health Network, the CCT team is the initial point of contact for Lutheran’s:

  • verified Level II adult and pediatric trauma centers;
  • Level 1 Heart chest pain system featuring the region’s first accredited chest pain center;
  • accredited primary stroke center
  • the St. Joseph Regional Burn Center at St. Joseph Hospital

By strategically positioning Lutheran Air and Lutheran Ground units across an expansive coverage area, the CCT team is able to provide a higher level of care when time is of the essence.

Wherever you are in the region, we’re just minutes away.
