Accepting a baby-sitting job is a big responsibility. Baby sitters need to be prepared for anything. That?s where Safe Sitter can help. Safe Sitter teaches adolescent baby sitters how to handle crises, how to keep their charges secure and how to nurture and guide young children. In the process, these 11- to 13-year-olds become confident, responsible and compassionate teens.
Safe Sitter teaches baby sitters how to:
* Care for a child with a nosebleed
* Change diapers
* Talk to a 911 dispatcher
* Screen baby-sitting jobs to decide which ones to accept and which ones to refuse
* And much more!
Graduation ceremony is the second day of class at 3 p.m.
Please bring a sack lunch both days. Soft drinks are available for purchase in the Lutheran Hospital cafeteria.
